Terms of Service

- This service allows the client to improve their site position in the major search engines for the key phrases that are most relevant to their business.
Contract Agreement and Start Date
- Once the Client has paid for SEO services through Honest SEO and the funds have been recorded, a written contract signed in ink by Honest SEO will be mailed to the Client. Contained will be a self-addressed stamp envelope in which to mail back the contract signed by the Client. When Honest SEO receives the signed contract, the service will begin from that date. The client will be notified in an email of this date as to track the progress of the project.
Site Setup Service
- Our Site Setup service check to see if your website is registered with the major search engines and will submit your website to them if not listed. We will manually optimize the code on your existing website, up to 5 pages, to make the code search engine friendly. This includes optimizing the data and analyzing and fixing the hierarchy of code and content, including bolded words and links. Additional pages for optimization are $30/page.
- Our Site Setup Service will require FTP access to your website. As part of the industry’s best practices, we can give you basic information on how to obtain the FTP account information needed to begin work. If you are unable to obtain this information, we are willing to work with your hosting provider or webmaster for an hourly charge of $80/hr to obtain this information. We are also willing to work offline on your pages and submit the changes to your webmaster for upload to your live site. If this cannot happen, or if FTP access is not available, we reserve the right to refund you your money, minus a $100 setup fee, and terminate this agreement.
- Our Site Setup service installs a JavaScript tracker on each page to capture the website analytic data on who’s visiting your site, where they are coming from, and what pages they are visiting. The code does not slow down or affect your website in any way, and is completely invisible to the end user.
- Our Site Setup service is non-refundable.
Client Data
- The Client is at all times responsible for backing up their website and the data contained therein. The Client shall indemnify Honest SEO against loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims arising from any issues with the client data or systems.
- While Honest SEO will take a backup of the client’s site before optimization as part of best practices in the industry, Honest SEO is not responsible for corrupt or loss data. Furthermore, Honest SEO is not liable for any damages or losses that may occur from corrupt or lost data.
Search Engine Position
- The Client recognizes that no guarantee is made as to any specific position location on any particular search engine since no company has ultimate control over the Search Engines or their algorithm. A Top 10 organic Search Engine Results ranking may include the #1 or #10 spot for the campaign keyword phrase.
Money Back Guarantee
- Our campaign services are backed by our Money Back Guarantee promise that we will have your campaign pages and/or your website pages ranking in the Top 10 of Google, Yahoo and MSN within 3 months time of starting your campaign. A top 10 placement is equal to a natural search engine listing and does not include a pay per click listing which appears at the top or sides of a search. When the Client website reaches the Top 10 for each keyword campaign, our promise for that campaign has been met. At the end of the 3 months, if top 10 rankings for a particular campaign have not been met, then the campaign will continue for up to 3 more months to allow us to obtain your Top 10 ranking. If, at the end of 6 months total the Top 10 ranking has not been met for the campaign, we will refund the money for that campaign. A final report will be sent via postal mail verifying the completion of each campaign.
- Our Money Back Guarantee covers each individual campaign separately. For example, if 4 of the 5 campaigns reach the Top 10 but the 5th one does not, you are entitled to a refund for the 5th campaign while the charge for the other 4 successful campaigns remains valid.
- You may choose to purchase additional campaigns at any time, but these additional campaigns will be a separate purchase and not related to this current agreement.
- Refunds will be issued via the same method of payment, which generally is through our secure 3rd party payment gateway.
Best Practices
- Though we practice only ethical SEO techniques, Honest SEO has absolutely no control over the discretionary decisions that a search engine or directory may take in listing your site or accepting submission. Therefore by signing this document you are agreeing to release Honest SEO from any liability resulting from the action of the Search Engines or Directories.
- We reserve the right to suggest alternate keyword phrases as needed. We reserve the right to refuse campaign service for particular keywords if we feel our terms of service cannot be met. If the client is not willing to accept other keywords then this agreement will be terminated immediately and money refunded for each campaign that was not fulfilled.
- Honest SEO will not be held liable in any way for the particular content or meaning of keyword phrases. This includes ranking for trademarked and registered phrases.
Client Communication
- Client will have access to reporting for their campaign via our Report Viewer application during their campaign. After this agreement is terminated, the client will only have access to continued reporting if they have a current maintenance agreement with Honest SEO.
- If no communication is received for 7 days after the initial key phrase list has been submitted to Honest SEO, we reserve the right to alter, change or modify the keywords as we see fit for your business and begin work.
Returned Checks
- For each insufficient funds or returned check, a $75 fee will be applied.
Contract End and Monthly Maintenance
- Each campaign is considered completed when it reaches Top 10 rankings for the 3 major search engines after 3 months or anytime during the 3 month extension. At that time, the campaign service maintenance can begin on a monthly basis for a service fee of $49 per month.
- Monthly maintenance involves monthly reports for the client’s rankings the keyword campaign under maintenance emailed to the client. Maintenance also includes 1/2 hour of maintenance on the client’s site to keep content fresh and help keep the rankings high.
- Due to competition in the industry, it is impossible to guarantee Top 10 rankings for the life of the website based solely on 6 months of site optimization. Monthly maintenance only covers checking the client site to confirm the position in the search engine and one half hour of optimization to keep the site fresh. Any additional work to bring the site back into the Top 10 may require an additional campaign or off-page optimization services, which are not covered under the monthly maintenance and will require a separate purchase and agreement to begin.
**Note** If the client decides to not use the maintenance service, their rankings can decrease.
Client Acknowledgement
- I clearly understand that the intent of the service is to provide my web site with a higher search engine ranking and that only industry best practices will be used.
- Any and all collection costs will be added to the purchase price of this campaign.
- All prices unless otherwise specified are in U.S. funds.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Authorized Decision Maker
- As the authorized decision-maker for my firm, I understand that the account that I provide for payment will be charged for the appropriate fees according to the package I have requested above. I hereby represent that I am the authorized user for the account that I have provided for payment. I understand that once this order form is received, Honest SEO will begin collecting the initial information for the project and contact me to get started. Further, if Honest SEO is unable to contact me within 7 days, a $200 setup charge will be assessed and the remaining money refunded to the Client.
I hereby accept the above terms and will engage in Search Engine Optimization services with Honest SEO.
